Biography
Marcus Reed is an associate in the firm's corporate and employment practices. He works directly with principals on entity formation, commercial agreements, employment documentation, and the early stages of disputes.
Mr. Reed is the lawyer clients meet in year one, when a company is taking shape, hiring its first employees, and signing its first meaningful contracts. He writes agreements that stay out of the way while they last, and work the way they should if things go wrong.

Professional Background
A considered practice.
Before joining Williams Cummings, Mr. Reed practiced in the corporate and commercial litigation departments of a regional firm, where he filed incorporations on Monday and answered complaints on Friday.
That breadth is deliberate. He serves clients whose legal life spans formation documents, employment agreements, and the occasional letter that begins a dispute, and he gives them one lawyer with the whole picture.

- Formed and structured limited liability companies and corporations for founders across design, hospitality, and technology.
- Drafted commercial agreements, NDAs, and consulting arrangements for companies of two staff and of two hundred.
- Prepared employment agreements, offer letters, and handbooks with an eye to the disputes they prevent.
- Assisted with pre-litigation demand letters and the early analysis of commercial and partnership claims.
